Erik C. Acosta

Erik Christian Acosta was born in Newark, New Jersey to Puerto Rican parents. Throughout his childhood, he was well immersed in the cultures and traditions of Puerto Rico. In 1994, Mr. Acosta obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Seton Hall University. In 2001, Erik Acosta, Esq. graduated from Rutgers School of Law – Newark and he served as law clerk for the Honorable Edward Beglin, Assignment Judge of Union County for the 2001-02 term. After working for various law firms as a litigation attorney, in March 2010 Mr. Acosta realized his dream of opening his own law practice. In doing so he refused to consider any place other than Newark as the location for his new endeavor. Mr. Acosta has served as the Legal Advisor for the Hispanic Law Enforcement Society of Essex County, as Vice-President for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Essex County and as Trustee for FOCUS. He is also a member of the Essex County Bar Association and the New Jersey Hispanic National Bar Association. Erik Acosta is happily married to Alena Acosta and is the proud father of three beautiful children: Iliana D. Acosta; Christian Matteo Acosta, and; Alexander J. Acosta.
