Youth Development Program

FOCUS Youth Development Program provides comprehensive family support and youth remedial educational services. The Youth development program seeks to improve the lives of youth by meeting their basic physical, developmental, and social needs and by helping them to build the abilities needed to become successful adults.

Summer Enrichment - Project Shadow

This is a six-week summer program providing 30 youngster ages 13 -15, attending the Newark Public Schools, with the opportunity to blend academic learning and youth development to complement, not repeat, school-year learning. Project Shadow addresses the goals of promoting lifelong learning, career exploration, employability and work ethics skills, as well as to provide opportunities to experience the world of work and community involvement.

21st Century Community Learning Centers

FOCUS 21st Century Community Learning Centers provide (no s) fourth through eighth grade students with a successful education and enrichment program after their regular school day has ended. The afterschool component provides a comprehensive and supplemental program of learning and enrichment opportunities that is delivered afterschool at Sussex Avenue, 13th Avenue, Luis Muñoz Marin and the Maria L. Varisco Rogers Charter School in Newark.
